Helping animals
Jann started French's Care Haven because of the overwhelming cases of neglect, abandonment and animal cruelty, which is sadly on the rise. French’s cares for all animals, but mainly rescued horses, ponies and donkeys. Some animals have been rehabilitated and found new homes, but those that cannot be re-homed stay with the charity. French’s offers a safe home for these unfortunate animals found in need, and the animals in our care enjoy some 25 acres of rolling fields in a tranquil rural setting, where they and have the opportunity to recover from the abuse and neglect many of them received before coming to us. Those who cannot be re-homed will stay with us throughout their remaining years.
Each animal at French’s is cared for as an individual and given all the love and attention they deserve and should have been given by their previous owners. Animals taken into the Care Haven are gently brought back to health and given proper care and management. Jann says “It is important to me that French’s is a quiet and tranquil environment and a stress-free haven for our animals to be content and happy”.
